Thai Larb Lettuce Wraps

Quick and delicious snack or meal. Perfect for a hot day!

  • 1lb ground pork

  • 1 shallot, finely diced

  • 1 tbls olive oil

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbls pepper flakes (more if you want it hotter)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cucumber, peeled and chopped

  • Romaine lettuce

  • 1/4 cup basil (Thai basil preferred)

  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

  • Green onions, chopped

  • 1 lime, quartered

    Heat the oil. Brown the pork. When it’s halfway done throw in the shallots, pepper flakes, salt, sesame oil.

    Rinse and lay out lettuce to create little bowls. Spread ground pork mixture on each leaf and top with cucumber, cilantro, green onions, and lime juice.

    You could also add toasted sesame seeds, avocado, radish, or other stuff that floats your boat!
